U23 men’s head coach John Sikerete has announced his final squad for Namibia’s CAF Olympic Qualifiers, with the team set to face Angola in the first round.
The U23 side will travel to Luanda for the first leg on 28 September, before hosting the return fixture in Botswana on 5 October, where the team will look to secure progression to the next round.
The squad features a blend of players plying their trade in the Namibia Premier Football League, with Sikerete selecting a group he believes is ready to compete at the international level.
With preparations continuing ahead of the two-legged encounter, the technical team has been working on building cohesion, sharpening the team’s tactical approach and ensuring the players are physically and mentally prepared for the challenge.
The players have also shown determination during preparations, with the squad now focused on translating their hard work on the training ground into a strong performance against Angola.
With qualification decided over two legs, the Junior Warriors will be looking to put themselves in a strong position in the opening fixture before returning to Botswana for the decisive second leg.
