The Omaheke Elective Congress took place on the 19 August 2023 with all affiliate members represented. The congress was conducted in a great spirit of peace within the jurisdiction of the Cattle Country Statutes and in line with the NFA Electoral Code.
The positions of the chairperson and vice chairperson were fiercely contested giving the Electoral Committee two ties with a third round delivered a decisive outcome. The position of vice-chairperson has seen three rounds of voting with the fourth delivering a decisive vote. All other positions were decided on a first-round basis, except for a tie for four other additional members being decided in the second round respectively.
The Electoral Committee needed to talk some sense of football development and leadership to encourage members to vote wisely and disregard the historical camps that brought division in the leadership structure of the region.
The Newly Elected Executive Committee was given a four-year mandate from August 2023 to July 2027.
