Namibia’s 20 man squad will engage Zimbabwe in an exhibition match this afternoon, 4th September 2023, at the International Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe, at 15h00, to mark the inauguration of Zimbabwe’s President, His Excellency, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The team landed safely yesterday in Harare, Zimbabwe, and were welcomed by the Namibian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency,Kandjii Nicklaas Rikondja, and Zimbabwean Ambassador to Namibia, Her Excellency,Melody Chaurura.

Both diplomats highlighted the importance of this event on the national sports calendar, citing a historical celebration of exceptional football skills, unity, and diplomacy amid the two nations.

Also present to welcome the Namibian delegation was the chairman of the Normalization Committee of the Football Association of Zimbabwe, Lincoln Mutasa, and representatives from the Zimbabwe Sports Ministry.

Namibia’s international star, Ryan Nyambe is among the talented Brave Warriors’ squad for this highly anticipated match.
