The Tafel Lager Brave Warriors Head Coach, Collin Benjamin announced a squad of 43 players who will assemble for camp next week Monday, 21 August ahead of the Braves international friendly match against Bafana Bafana in South Africa on 9 September 2023 at a venue still to be decided and for the 2024 CHAN 1st leg Qualification matches slated for 22-24 September 2023.

“It is exciting times for the Tafel Lager Brave Warriors, the team will be very busy for the upcoming couple of months, we have engagements in September, October, November and as well as in December and till things are proven otherwise for us as a technical team and as a country, we are also having the 2024 Total Energies AFCON in January.

On the 9th of September, we have a friendly against Bafana Bafana but in football there is no such thing as a friendly match, it’s an international match against South Africa and two weeks later we have the first round of CHAN Qualification matches and that’s another tournament we want to qualify for and we will go full out said Benjmain at the Media Briefing.

TUKS and Brave’s former skipper Ronald Stigga Ketjijere will make a return to the national team.
“The Mercedes Benz of Namibian Football, Ronald Ketjiere, we can write a whole book about Stigga. I have been in contact with him since I took over as Head Coach, I see him at training with his club, mentality monster, attitude, he is basically the personification of leadership and commitment. I don’t think there is a player more committed in the country than Ketjijere, we watched him on Saturday, and he is a boss on the pitch and his experience is valuable to the team. We spoke in depth about his short-term role in the team and what is expected of him”

Players that are omitted from the previous squad are Steven Damaseb and Junior Petrus. Damaseb is currently in Egypt working towards securing his future and Junior Petrus recently signed for KF Liria Prizren, the technical team wants him to settle in his new club and get to know his environment and fellow players.
The first five days of the training session will focus solely on fitness and players are expected to be in form.
