8 December 2025 – The Namibia Football Association (NFA) is proud to announce that Technical Director Jaqueline Shipanga has successfully graduated from the prestigious FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma.
Shipanga was among an elite group of only 22 technical leaders from 18 nations globally to complete the second edition of this flagship programme. The graduation ceremony took place at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland, recently.
The FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma is the pinnacle of FIFA’s educational pathway, designed to equip sporting directors and technical leaders with the tools to transform football in their respective countries. Over a rigorous 20-month journey that began in Germany in April 2024, Shipanga engaged in over 380 hours of study, spanning online modules and intensive on-site sessions.
Reflecting on the achievement, Jacqueline Shipanga emphasized the demanding nature of the course and the breadth of knowledge required to lead at the highest level.
“Completing this diploma has been one of the most intense yet rewarding experiences of my professional career,” said Shipanga. “The programme pushed us far beyond the tactical aspects of the game, focusing on the core pillars of management, high performance, and technical leadership. Engaging with peers from different football cultures across three continents has provided me with a global perspective that is invaluable. It wasn’t just about football; it was about mastering the complexity of leading a national ecosystem to ensure every talent in Namibia has a genuine pathway to success.”
NFA Interim General Secretary Cassius Moetie, expressed his immense pride in Shipanga’s accomplishment, noting that her success is a win for the entire nation.
“On behalf of the NFA, I extend our warmest congratulations to our TD on this remarkable academic and professional milestone,” Moetie stated. “Having our Technical Director recognized among the world’s elite leaders by FIFA is a testament to the talent and ambition within our association.
Now, the real work begins. I am encouraging her to take these world-class learnings and mentor her colleagues within the NFA. Her mission should be to translate this global expertise into local impact, ensuring that the knowledge filters down to our coaches, our youth structures, and our grassroots programmes.”
Established in 2023, the FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma serves as a premier qualification aimed at professionalizing the vital role of the Technical Director within the global football landscape. The curriculum is designed to provide a holistic approach to the game’s development, integrating five core pillars: technical leadership, high performance, coach education, grassroots football, and strategic management.
