The Brave Gladiators are wrapping up preparations ahead of their Olympic Qualification matches against Morocco on the 26 & 31 October respectively. Morocco will host both matches at the Grand Stadium in Marrakesh and in Rabat at the Moulay Hassan Stadium.
Gladiators Head Coach, Paulus Shipanga says it has been three good days of a competitive camp in Marrakesh, with great display of skill and dedication from the girls.
“We had a glimpse of the qualifiers in South Africa,we worked on the attacking and defending principles and we are just continuing with that and the performance looks positive. We had a chance to play COSAFA and we managed to see the what we need to improve on as a whole.
The only challenge is the weather,we had to cancel training sessions because it was raining and we could not afford for the girls to catch a flu but we are working on that, preparing the players mentally because our match is at night and we are not used to playing at that time of day”
Shipanga further emphasized that the team is in good spirits, highly motivated and looking forward to the matches.
Namibia will host Morocco on Thursday,26 October at the Grand Stadium in Marrakesh at 19H00.
