Mondesa host SSFD Debmarine Namibia Cup playoffs

Mondesa Stadium in Swakopmund is the venue for the 2018 Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) Debmarine Namibia Cup playoffs this weekend as the 12 clubs battle it out for only one place in the Competition Proper, the Round of 32 of this lucrative Cup.

Action will start at 07h00 on Saturday as Walvis Bay side Flamingos and Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) battle it out to be followed by Rebels from Windhoek against Keetmanshoop’ s Try Again and then Windhoek United confront Okahandja’ s Spoilers. Khomas NAMPOL will then entertain Young Brazilians from Karasburg in the final first round match at 13h00.

After lunch, action will resume at 15h00 as home side Blue Boys takes on arch-rivals Northern Stars from Walvis Bay at 15h00 and then Ramblers and another Walvis Bay-based side Western Stars faceoff in the second quarterfinals match. Match one winner will then face match two winner and three will face four in the remaining quaefiansl encounter right into night at Mondesa Stadium.

On Sunday, 11 March, action will start at 09h00 with the semifinals as the winner of Boys/Stars takes on winner of Ramblers/ Stars and then at 11h00, the winner of the last two quarterfinals matches get down to business at Mondesa Stadium.

The final match to crown the champions of the Stream and the team to advance to the 2018 Debmarine Namibia Cup Round of 32 draw, will be played at 15h00. The winner will receive N$ 20 000 and the runner-up N$ 10 000 from Debmarine Namibia. Last timeout in the Streams’ playoffs, Try Again Football Club defeated Windhoek United 3-0 in the final match at Mariental.

Entrance at Mondesa Stadium this weekend will be Adults - N$ 20.00 and Kids and Cars - N$ 10.00.
