Isaacs announces Gladiators for COSAFA Champs


The Brave Gladiators to take on Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Uganda at this year’s Cosafa Women Championships in South Africa was revealed by coach Brian Isaacs at the NFA Girls Centre, Football House on Monday morning.

The Brave Gladiators will face familiar foes Zimbabwe, and Swaziland as well as anew challenge in quests Uganda at the 2018 COSAFA Women’s Championships that will be staged in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa from September 12-22.

Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti is taking the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign so seriously that he adds Collin Benjamin to his technical team while Virgil Vries, Sadney Urikhob and Willy Stephanus earned recalls for the 8 September clash against Zambia.

Karas wins Skorpion Zinc U17 Cup

Karas Region defeated Omaheke 3-1 on penalties to win the fifth edition of the Skorpion Zinc Under17 Cup at Omulunga Stadium in Grootfontein on Monday afternoon after goalless 120 minutes with host Otjozondjupa region taking third place.

Karas and Omaheke Regions will contest the final of the 2018 Skorpion Zinc Under17 Cup underway at Omulunga Stadium in Groofontein after winning thier respective semfinals on Monday morning.

Host Otjozondjupa looked like going all the way but were stopped in thier tracks by a determined Karas Region who defeated them 2-0 with goals from Dandre Both and Desmond Christains. Both also walked away with the Man of the Match award.

Skorpion Zinc U17 Cup semi-finals confirmed


Otjozondjupa Region will meet Karas and Erongo will take on Omaheke Region in the semi-finals of the 2018 Skorpion Zinc Under-17 Cup underway at Grootfontein following the conclusion of group stage action on Heroes Day at Omulunga Stadium.

Defending champions Omusati were on Saturday eliminated from the 2018 Skorpion Zinc Under-17 Cup underway at Grootfontein with the impressive Karas taking Group C with seven points and host Otjozondjupa are also on course for the semi-finals after winning three of their opening three in group A while Group B is led by Omaheke on five points after the opening 18 games.
