The Young Warriors are settling well in Botswana as preparations continue for the second leg of their Olympic qualifier against Angola on Monday.

Namibia played to a 1-1 draw against Angola in the first leg, with Ngahepa Kasaona getting on the scoresheet for the Young Warriors. Namibia took the lead in the encounter before the hosts found an equalizer, leaving the tie finely poised ahead of Monday’s decisive return leg.

Following the first-leg encounter, the squad has continued to focus on recovery and preparation, with the team holding its first training session earlier today. The session provided an opportunity for the players to work through their preparations and sharpen their approach ahead of the return fixture.

The Young Warriors were also at the National Stadium in Botswana, where they watched fellow U23 sides Botswana and Seychelles in action. The visit gave the squad an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the stadium, pitch and matchday surroundings, while also taking in some football ahead of their own important assignment.

With everything still to play for after the 1-1 draw, the Young Warriors will be hoping to make the most of the return leg and finish the job on Monday.
