27 May 2025 -The Namibian senior men’s team assembled for camp at the NFA Technical Centre on Sunday,26 May 2025. Namibia drawn in Group B in the 2025 Edition of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup.

The Warriors will take on Angola, Malawi and Lesotho in the group stages of the this year’s edition that will be played in Mangaung, South Africa from 4- 15 June 2025.

We caught up with Brave Warriors  Biokineticists, Garren Smith to take us through the first training session.

“Today marked our first training session as a team, with the primary focus on regeneration and active recovery. Given that many of our local-based players had back-to-back matches over the weekend, it was essential to prioritize recovery while slowly reintroducing team dynamics. The session began with a low-intensity jogging warm-up to get the players moving and loosen up any stiffness.

We then split into three groups, each rotating through focused stations: foam rolling for muscle release, mobility work to improve range of motion, and a technical station emphasizing light ball touches and coordination.

To wrap up the session, we brought the group together for a low-intensity passing drill to reinforce basic patterns and communication, followed by static stretching to aid in recovery and prevent soreness”
