03 June 2025 – The Brave Warriors COSAFA team arrived safely in Bloemfontein on Monday ahead of the 2025 Hollywood Bets COSAFA Cup and coach Collin Benjamin and his team immediately got down to serious business with the coach saying his main focus is tightening areas of concern ahead of Thursday’s, 5 June game against Angola.

Benjamin beefed up his squad with the addition of new faces. UNAM’s FC defenders, Tyrese Hikupembe and Vevangapi Mbuende are yet to make a debut for the Braves. The squad also features the return of Bio Gurirab who plays in Zimbabwe for Simba Bhora FC. Julinho Athletic FC striker, Wiseman Lifasi will also be hoping to make his maiden appearance for the senior side.

Namibia won the COSAFA Cup back in 2015, in 2022 the Warriors narrowly lost 1-0 to Zambia after extra time in the final. In 2024 the Warriors reached the final again but failed to make it past Amgola and suffered a devasting 5-0 defeat.
