Namibia arrived in Lilongwe,Malawi, ahead of Thursdayโs World Cup Qualifier against the Flames of Malawi.
The two teams are meeting for the first time in the qualification round and the Warriors are bracing for a difficult test against the Flames, especially in their backyard.
The coaching staff conducted the first training session at the Bingu National Stadium (Field B).ย
โUnfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions, we couldnโt train yesterday, so we had to prioritize an early morning activation session to stimulate neuromuscular readiness and enhance mobility. The session focused on dynamic movement prep, muscle activation, and mobility work to offset any stiffness from travelโ said Warriors Biokineticist, Garren Smith.
โEverything is looking goodโenergy levels are high, and the players are responding well. This afternoon, weโll shift our focus to a tactical session, where the coaches will take over to refine our game planโ he adds
The match will take place on Thursday , 20 March 2025 at the Bingu National Stadium in Malawi. Kickoff is at 18H00 Namibian time.
