The 2026 NFA FA Cup came to a spectacular end at the Windhoek Independence Stadium, with Mighty Gunners Ladies and UNAM FC crowned champions after impressive performances in their respective finals.
Mighty Gunners Ladies produced a dominant display to defeat Khomas NAMPOL Ladies 4-0 in the women’s final. Leena Alweendo stole the show with a superb hat trick, while Nicole added the fourth goal to seal an emphatic victory and hand Mighty Gunners the FA Cup title.
In the men’s final, UNAM FC overcame KK Palace 2-1 to lift the FA Cup trophy. The university side capped off an excellent tournament with a composed performance to secure the title.
The tournament also celebrated standout individual performances. Mighty Gunners Ladies goalkeeper Mellissa Matheus was named the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Tournament following her outstanding displays throughout the competition.
UNAM goalkeeper Owen Gariseb received the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Tournament award, while UNAM captain Paulus Amutenya was deservedly named the Men’s Player of the Tournament for his leadership and influential performances.
