Cairo, Egypt โ€“ Namibia Football Association (NFA) President, Robert Shimooshili, has congratulated Dr. Patrice Motsepe on his re-election as the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Motsepe was re-elected unopposed for another four-year term at the CAF Congress currently taking place in Egypt. The NFA is represented by Shimooshili and Executive Council member, Egidius Nambara.

“The Namibia Football Association proudly congratulates Dr. Patrice Motsepe on his unopposed election as CAF President. His dedication and passion for the beautiful game are truly inspiring. We look forward to working closely with him and CAF to develop and elevate football across our continent,” Shimooshili stated.

In addition to celebrating Dr. Motsepeโ€™s re-election, Shimooshili expressed his appreciation for the moment of silence observed in honour of Namibiaโ€™s late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma, and NFA General Secretary, Charles Siyauya, who was laid to rest in Bukalo, Zambezi region, on Tuesday.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to the CAF Congress delegates for their collective gesture of solidarity and respect. The moment of silence in honour of our Founding President and General Secretary was a profoundly moving tribute. This act of remembrance will forever be cherished and serve as an inspiration to us all as we continue to build upon their enduring legacy,” he said.
The CAF Congress continues in Egypt, focusing on the development and future of football across the African continent.
