RULES & REGULATIONS
The Rules and Regulations of the NFA have been approved by the Executive Council of the Namibia Football Association (NFA) and are integral to the game of football; hence, it is incumbent of all those involved to learn, apply, and abide by these principles outlined in the rules and regulations. The Rules and Regulations lay down global and binding instructions concerning the status of members and their eligibility to participate in organized football based on the fundamental structure as set out in the NFA Statutes. The Rules and Regulations provide general principles regarding the internal organization of football under the vanguard of the NFA. These rules and regulations specify the general competencies and principles relative to the duties, power and responsibilities of certain bodies and entities of the NFA as well as its members, thereby supplementing and specifying the relevant provision in the NFA Statutes.
NFA STATUTES
The statutes of the Namibia Football Association (NFA) form the fundamental legal framework that governs the organizational structure, operations, and decision-making processes. The Statutes are a comprehensive set of articles that outline the association's objectives, membership, governance structure, and procedures for conducting its affairs. The NFA's statutes are designed to align with the principles set forth by FIFA and CAF, ensuring compliance with global football standards. They are periodically reviewed and updated to reflect the evolving needs of Namibian football and to stay in line with the best practices of global football. The statutes provide clarity on the roles and responsibilities of the Congress, Executive Council, and Management Team, ensuring transparency and accountability within those organs. By adhering to the Statutes, the NFA maintains a fair and just environment for all stakeholders, while promoting the growth and development of football in Namibia in a structured and sustainable manner.
The NFA Extraordinary Congress, held on Saturday, 14th October 2023, adopted the new Electoral Code and new Statutes relative to the mandate of the former Normalisation Committee. Hence, the new Executive Council was elected on the basis of the new Statutes and new Electoral Code on Friday, 17th November 2023 in Windhoek, with NFA’s international guests such as FIFA, CAF and COSAFA as observers. The outcome of the election were declared free and fair.
