The Nambia Football Assiciation (NFA) launched the Brave Warriors World Cup Campaign at the Windhoek Palm Hotel on 21 May 2025. The campaign which is aimed at helping secure funds for the Brave Warriors will be spearheded by Tim Ekandjo as chairperson with Titus Kunamuene, Isaack Hamata, Jacqueline Shipanga, Johannes Kunamuene and Ivan Tsabalala as committee members.

Namibia is yet to make her maiden appearance at the global showpiece and achieving qualification would be a remarkable historic achievement not just for the players and the FA but for all Namibians.

Speaking at the launch, Tim Ekandjo outlined the campaigns objective which is to raise a total amount of N$9.8 million that will go towards appearance fees, winning bonuses and other operational expenses.

“Qualification to the FIFA World Cup never happen by luck, every country that has ever participated would have invested considerably to ensure that their national teams qualify. We are also mindful that such preparations would date back as far as 5 years, that is how intentional you ought to be in preparing for the world’s biggest sporting event.

Given the teams current log standings, we can all agree that this is by far Namibia’s best chance of qualification for the FIFA World Cup and we must therefore do everything in our power to ensure we win the last 4 games to stand a chance. The Brave Warriors is 2nd in Group H with a total of 12 points behind Tunisia leading the group with 16 points. This campaign will focus on 5 key pillars namely: Unite the Nation Behind the Brave Warriors,Keep the Nation Engaged & Informed about the Brave Warriors journey, Mobilize Support & Resources for the Team ,Incentivise and Qualify and Celebrate Qualification” he said

He further urged coporate Namibia to rally behind the team

“The objective is to raise at least N$2 million after all expenses are paid. Corporates and individuals will also have an opportunity to do special pledges. We cannot achieve extra-ordinary results with old tactics and we must therefore do things differently but importantly let the team know and feel that the entire country is behind them.

We have already activated #Bravenation and invite all Namibians to send encouraging messages and comments throughout the campaign”

Namibia is scheduled to play Malawi and Sao Tome and Principe during September 2025 with the final games against Liberia and Tunisia set to take place in October 2025.
