The Brave Gladiators will have to do without firm defender,Lovisa Mulunga when they take on Zimbabwe in their second 2023 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Women’s Championship match on Monday,9 October at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.

Mulunga who suffered a concussion during the Gladiators encounter with Botswana on Friday is still under medical evaluation.

“ According to the team’s medical department, she is doing well however she will not be able to play tomorrow,we are hoping she makes a full recovery and is able to feature in the last group match against Lesotho.” Head Coach,Paulus Shipanga said.

Touching base on the game approach against Zimbabwe,Shipanga alluded that

“ We are taking the competition one stage at a time and in order to qualify for the next round, tomorrow’s match against Zimbabwe is definitively a must-win.This will give us a bit of leverage over some teams in the group and it will be a boost for us to go all out in our last match against Lesotho. The game plan is attacking and getting as many goals as possible”
