As part of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) President’s ongoing vision to enhance the efficiency and professionalism of CAF Competitions, CAF is currently hosting a General Coordinators (GCs) Workshop in Johannesburg,South Africa.
The two day event, which started on Wednesday, allowed existing GCs in COSAFA & CECAFA zones to upgrade their knowledge in the craft while serving as training for prospective match officials for CAF events.
Lorraine Juanita Gowases and Someno Erastus are attending the workshop
“The workshop is intensive, educational and very interactive. The Instructors are focusing on the finer details seeing that CAF wants the next group of GC’s out of this group. They are scetching situations that happen in bigger tournaments, explain how they are dealt with and ask input from us on how we will deal with crisis management situations.
The workshop was worth attending and I would like to thank the Namibia Football Association for the the part they played in enrolling us” said Gowases.
Gowases has been an assistant GC at the COSAFA Women’s Cup and COSAFA Women’s Champions League for three consecutive years.
