Namibia Football Association, General Secretary, Charles Siyauya extended his warm wishes to the Namibian national men’s FUTSAL team as they embark on a historical journey to the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Namibia will be making her maiden appearance at the 8th Edition of the competition alongside fellow debutants, Mauritania while Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Zambia, and hosts Morocco are making a return.
The Namibian side affectionately known as the Brave Fives will play Mauritania in their opening fixture tomorrow, 12 April 2024 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium (22H00 Namibian time).
“This is a momentous occasion for Namibian futsal. As the Brave Fives, you are not only competing for yourselves, but for the pride of a nation eager to see you shine on the continental stage. Your dedication, perseverance, and the thrilling victory that secured your qualification have been an inspiration. We have witnessed your commitment during training, and we are confident that you will carry that same passion and determination onto the court tomorrow” said Siyauya.
Siyauya indicated that the players and technical must keep in mind that they are ambassadors for Namibia.
“Embrace the challenge, play with heart, and showcase the best of Namibian talent. The entire nation is rallying behind you. Go forth, Brave Fives, and make history!”
