27 February 2026 -The Namibia women’s national football team, affectionately known as the Brave Gladiators, have made history by reaching the COSAFA Womenβs Championship final for the second time after defeating Zambia 1-0. The last time the Gladiators reached the final stage of the COSAFA women’s championship was back in 2009, when the tournament was held in Zambia.Β
Their remarkable journey to the finals marks a significant milestone for womenβs football in Namibia. Throughout the tournament, the Brave Gladiators demonstrated resilience, tactical discipline, and strong team spirit. Their performances against some of Southern Africaβs top teams showcased the steady growth of the squad and the development of womenβs football structures back home.

The Gladiators are set to play the winner between South Africa & Zimbabwe on Sunday, 1 March at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
