Namibia Football Association (NFA) First Instance Body Chairperson Vincia Cloete has emphasised the importance of strengthening football licensing systems as the association continues efforts to improve standards and professionalism within Namibian football.
Cloete was speaking during an NFA licensing workshop, where she highlighted the role of licensing in ensuring that clubs meet the required administrative, financial and sporting standards.
According to Cloete, a strong licensing system is essential to creating sustainable football structures and ensuring that clubs are properly equipped to participate in competitions.
The workshop forms part of the NFA’s continued efforts to build the capacity of clubs and football administrators, while improving their understanding of the requirements and processes involved in club licensing.
Cloete said the process should not merely be viewed as a compliance exercise, but as an important tool for developing stronger and more sustainable football clubs.
The NFA has in recent years placed greater emphasis on strengthening its administrative structures and ensuring that clubs understand their responsibilities under the licensing framework.
The workshop provided an opportunity for stakeholders to engage, share knowledge and gain a clearer understanding of the standards required to advance the development of football in Namibia.
