Brave Gladiators head coach Lucky Kakuva announced his travelling squad for the CAF Women’s Olympic qualifiers against Angola, expressing confidence in the team ahead of the two-legged encounter.

Namibia will travel to Luanda for the first leg on 9 October, before hosting Angola in the return leg on 12 October in Botswana.

The Brave Gladiators enter the qualifiers with valuable recent experience, having won the COSAFA Women’s Championship in 2025. The team has also stepped up its preparations with a series of international friendly matches against Botswana, which served as important preparation ahead of the Olympic qualifiers.

The friendlies provided the technical team with an opportunity to assess the squad, fine-tune combinations and give players valuable match minutes ahead of the competitive assignment against Angola.

With a blend of experienced players and emerging talent, Kakuva will be hoping that the team’s recent competitive experience and preparations can help the Brave Gladiators secure a positive result away from home before returning to Namibia for the decisive second leg.The Brave Gladiators now turn their focus to Angola as they continue their pursuit of a place on the Olympic stage.
