Tim Ekandjo with the help of a few friends sponsored the senior men and womenβs national team with brand new gear which includes four official playing kits, goalkeeper kits, training and step out gear, bags and sneakers.
The sponsorship valued at N$485,000 comes at a time when the Brave Warriors are fighting to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup while the Brave Gladiators are preparing for the second round of the WAFCON against Zambia scheduled for September.

Stressing on the significance of national teams and national pride, the Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts & Culture, Hon Dino Balloti said
“Our national teams are more than just football teams. They are symbols of hope, resilience, and national pride. And yet, the reality they have faced of sharing kits and gear between teams, has been less than ideal. It has not only affected morale, but also posed challenges in terms of hygiene and professionalism.
It is in this light that I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to a true patriot, Mr. Tim Ekandjo. In his personal capacity, Tim answered the call first made by the late Mr. Charles Siyuaya, former Secretary-General of the Namibia Football Association. May His Soul Continue To Rest In Eternal Peace. Today, thanks to his generosity, our Brave Warriors and Brave Gladiators each receive not only 4 sets of brand-new kits, but also tracksuits, windbreakers, training wear, step-out gear, sneakers, and bags; a complete transformation from head to toe”
He further added that the valued of the sponsorship of N$485,000, is more than just gear,Β it is an investment in national pride, youth inspiration, and the beautiful game.Β Mr.Β TimΒ Ekandjo, we thank you sincerely for your generous sponsorship, and more importantly, for your unwavering love of Namibia.

It is our collective responsibility to make our contribution when it comes to issues pertaining to nation building and it is my sincere hope that the new kit will boost the players and fans morale and inspire better perfomances.
