NFA Technical Director, Jacqueline Shipanga, has been recognized for her outstanding leadership by being nominated as one of the top three candidates for the FIFA Leadership in Action Award. This award honors exceptional technical directors and experts who have made significant contributions to the training and development of football.
While the top prize was ultimately awarded to the FAZ Technical Director, Lyson, Jaqui’s nomination is a testament to her dedication and hard work. She is one of 35 technical directors from 211 FIFA Member Associations who participated in the inaugural cohort of the FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma program. This program is a crucial part of FIFA’s investment in developing technical leaders worldwide.
Seven of the 35 participants in the first cohort were from African nations: Malawi, Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Uganda, and Egypt. The 18-month course, which began last May, combines virtual and in-person learning to equip technical leaders with the skills needed to address technical challenges within their respective associations.
