The Brave Warriors has achieved their objective of making it to the quarterfinals of the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals with the 1-0 win over Uganda on Thursday night and Coach Ricardo Mannetti will have to decide on whom to face at that stage.

Namibia and Zambia are each on six points from two games and faceoff in the final group B game on Monday night at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca to decide who finish on top and Namibia will have to wait until Sunday night.

“Objective met, we are in the quarterfinals. The pressure is now off. We have two ways that we can play and together with the Technical staff we will make a decision on how to play Zambia depending on the outcome of the Group A final games on Sunday night” Mannetti says post the victory over Uganda.

Mannetti, the first coach to lead the Warriors to the first-ever continental football tournament group stage game victory and quarterfinals berth, says his team’s down to earth approach in the previous games will come in handy in the game against Zambia.

“We knew that we were facing strong teams and Zambia won’t be different and in both games we thought maybe a draw but the boys always dig deep and get the goal in added time and that makes it so special and now facing Zambia we have to come again and keep to the tactics on the day and see how far we can go depending on what our plan wil be for the game”, explains Mannetti.

On Friday afternoon, Mannetti took the 12 non-starters in the victory over Uganda for training and feel the weather in Casablanca, while it will be business as usual on Saturday as the countdown to the Zambia clash on Monday, 21h00, Namibian time, continues.
