NFA Admin & Man Course Ends

The NFA High Level Administration & Management Course concluded on Friday at Soccer House on Friday.

Croocks Nunuheb, the Chairman of Omaheke region presided o at the event and urged the participants to spread the gospel of football administration and management to all the corners as well as motivating the participants to protect the values and goodwill of our game.

“We as a football association are doing our part to provide continual education and training opportunities also adding to the Vision 2030 in terms of capacity building".

Warriors pitted against Djibouti


The Brave Warriors will start their 2014 Brazil World Cup dream against Djibouti as the preliminary knock out matches’ start in November 2011.

The draw conducted by Brazil current and former football greats and witnessed by NFA's Tim Isaacs in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, provided that Namibia play the first leg in Djibouti City and the second leg to be played in Windhoek between 11 and 15 November 2011.

There will be 12 knockout matches at this stage with the 12 winners joining the remaining 28 CAF entrants in the second round, which will consist of 10 groups of four countries.

Women Super League Kicks off


The Namibia football Association (NFA) Women Super League will start in earnest on Saturday, July 30 with six teams competing in the inaugural season.

According to the NFA Women Desk, the six teams will be involved in five rounds of football to ensure more action in the league which will end on 9 June 2012.

The participating teams are: Okahandja Beauties - who won the last Women National Championships played in 2009, Challengers FC, NDF Cheetahs, JS Academy, Unam Bokkies and Poly Babes.



The first-ever YDF-Khomas Region Under-17 Cup will be played at Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday and Sunday. The draw for this tournament, organized jointly by the Youth Development through Football (YDF) and the Khomas Football Region, took place at Soccer House on Wednesday night.

The knock out rounds are all scheduled for Saturday at the Sam Nujoma A and B fields while the semis and final matches will be played on Sunday at the Sam Nujoma A field (astro turf).

Warrios B Ready for Togo

The Brave Warriors development side beat Ghana Premier league club Mighty Jets 2-1 on Wednesday with Papi Kavezembi and Willy Stephanus on taget as they prepare to take on Togo on Saturday in Accra.

Striker Papi Kavezembi opened the scoring 30 minutes in and 10 minutes later defender Teberious Lombard scored an own goal to level matters at the break.

However about 10 minutes into the second stanza, Black Africa's Willy Stephanus scored the winning goal to ensure Namibia are on a high going into their weekend match against Togo.

Isaacs for 2014 World Cup draw


Namibia Football Association (NFA) President John Muinjo has delegated National Team Manager, Tim Isaacs to represent the Association and the country at the Preliminary Draw for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Preliminary Draw in Brazil, host of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, is part of a series of activities scheduled to take place on 29 and 30 July 2011. All 208 Member Associations have been invited by FIFA to attend the Preliminary Draw.

Warriors B Continues good show

The Brave Warriors B team drew 1-1 with Aduana FC with Tigers defender Steven Sabatha scoring for the Namibian last weekend

Before the break, Roger Katjiteo scored a great goal which was however ruled offside by the officials.

The team also got to watch the Ghanaian FA Cup Final which Abedi Pele's first Division side Nania Stars won by beating Asante Kotoko 1-0.

The team also got some morale support from Air Namibia on Monday morning as they were presented with T-shirts by the national airliner.

Admin & Management Course Underway

Football educational courses are coming thick and fast at Soccer house these days as on Monday, the High Level Administration and Management Course got underway in the capital.

The one-week long course was officially opened by Harry Jahs, the Chairman of Karas football Region and the participants includes the NPL Administrators, First Division League Administrators, Women Football administrators, Clubs' Team Managers as well as Youth Football administrators.

NFA & Shifidi School Cooperate

The NFA and the Immanuel Shifidi High School last week agreed to work together and as part of the agreement is for the NFA to use the High School Hall during Examinations whenever educational course are talking place at Soccer House, when a need arise for the participants to sit for exams.

NFA C License Course Ends

The NFA C license coaching course came to end on Friday afternoon with strong emphasis on proper planning and follow-up from the prospective coaches.

The course which started on 11 July saw all the 35 participants receiving their attendance certificates, to confirm their active participation in the rigorous coaching course which was conducted by NFA technical Director Klaus Staerk, former national youth coach Willem Kapukare and Brave Gladiators coach Jacqueline Shipanga at Soccer house in Windhoek.
