The Brave Warriors will face Zambia in the 18th edition of the COSAFA Cup in May and coach Ricardo Mannetti says the repeat of the 2015 and 2016 wins will be what the doctor should prescribe for his team.

Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti will take 21 players to Manzini, Swaziland for a friendly match on Thursday as Tigers goalkeeper Immanuel Immanuel and Eleven Arrows’ Josef Ngifindwako are dropped ahead of the team’s departure on Wednesday afternoon.

Pavaza off to Cairo for CAF Referees Course

As part of preparations for upcoming competitions, the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) organized a course for elite men referees from 19th -25th April 2018 in Cairo, Egypt and Namibia’s FIFA referee, Jackson Pavaza will be jetting out to Cairo later today to attend the course.

Young Warriors host Botswana on Sunday

The Young Warriors are set to play Botswana in the capital this coming Sunday for their second leg round for the 2019 CAF Under-20 AFCON qualifiers and after their first match ended goalless two weeks ago in Gaborone, the team is expected to outperform themselves if they wish to proceed to the next stage of the competition.

Four players out of Warriors with injuries


Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti will have to cut only three players from his initial 27 players for the friendly match at Swaziland on Thursday following the withdrawal of Vernon Klaasen, Kennedy Eib, Absalom Iimbondi and Panduleni Nekundi with injuries.

Swaziland will celebrate 50 years of independence this coming weekend and to make the event more memorable the country has requested the Brave Warriors travels to Manzini for a friendly match against their national team on Thursday, 19 April.

African Stars wins MTC Premiership


Ambrosius Amseb scored a brace to guide African Stars to a 2-1 win over Tigers and the 2017/18 MTC Premiership title with two games left to play in the season.

Stars had to beat Tigers to be crowned champions on Sunday at the majestic Sam Nujoma stadium and midway the first half, the script was messed up as Image Isaacks got Tigers on the lead, albeit fortuitously with a deflected shot.

Rukoro stays on as SG

21 April set for Debmarine Cup last 16


Walvis Bay’s Khuisebmond Stadium and the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek will each host four 2018 Debmarine Namibia Cup last 16 matches on Saturday, 21 April with African Stars facing Dynamos in Windhoek and Black Africa taking on Khuse FC at the coast.

Girls’ Coaches Trained in Football 4 Life

The NFA Galz & Goals programme with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) trained 14 girls’ football coaches on how to enhance their players’ life skills through their football trainings on the 6th and 7th of April 2018 at the NFA Girls Centre in Windhoek.
