The Namibia Football Association (NFA) collaborated with Netball Namibia to successfully present the 21st Edition of The Namibian Newspaper Cup, sponsored by Standard Bank. The event took place in Otjiwarongo Town, Otjozondjupa Region, from April 7th to 10th, 2023.

The NFA and Netball Namibia, supported by sponsors including The Namibian and Standard Bank, organized this exceptional edition with the essential backing of the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Service. Government transport facilitated the safe travel of regional football and netball teams to and from Otjiwarongo.

The event saw 25 accredited football players and officials, along with 17 netball participants. A total of 350 individuals were involved in football, and 238 in netball, making for a combined participation of 588 players and officials. Paresis Stadium in Otjiwarongo hosted an average of over 3,000 spectators each day, resulting in a vibrant atmosphere over the four days from April 7th to 10th, 2023.
