7 January 2025 – The Namibia Football Association (NFA) Technical Director, Jacqueline Shipanga is part of the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) at the ongoing Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations – AFCON currently underway in Morocco.

Shipanga has been an instrumental figure in developing football in the country, particularly women football. She played for the Brave Gladiators and later became the Head Coach before taking up the role of Technical Director at the FA. She recently graduated from the prestigious FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma being among an elite group of only 22 technical leaders from 18 nations globally to complete the second edition of this flagship programme.
According to cafonline.com the role of the TSG goes far beyond simple observation: members of the TSG analyze the evolution of the game, identify emerging trends, measure the impact of tactical choices, and highlight the individual performances that turn a match. At the end of each game, based on rigorous criteria, they are responsible for selecting the most outstanding player, thereby recognizing excellence and real influence on the pitch.
