Namibia has been nominated in Four (4) categories of the 2023 CAF Awards set for 11 December in, Marrakech, Morocco.
On the front line for Namibia is Mamelodi Sundown’s Star player, Peter Shalulile who has been nominated among Thirty (30) players for the top prize; CAF African Player of the Year, and who is also vying for the CAF Interclub Player of the Year alongside Twenty (20) other nominees.
The Men’s Senior National Team, the Tafel Lager Brave Warriors have been named among 10 nations for the CAF National Team of the Year Accolade, alongside Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal and Tanzania.
Brave Gladiators’ captain, Zenatha Coleman feature among 30 nominees in the CAF Player of the Year award.
Senegal forward Sadio Mane was crowned CAF African Player of the Year whilst Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala was coronated CAF African Women’s Player of the Year for a record fifth time during the last Awards Gala in July 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.
