The NFA wishes to congratulate African Stars chairman, Salomo Hei, for his unprecedented election to the Board of the African Club Association [ACA] with its secretariat seated in Kenya.
The mandate of the African Club Association is to fulfil strategic initiatives relative to the objectives of Confederation of African Football [CAF] enabling football clubs on the continent of Africa to increase self-sustainability making these clubs globally competitive and enhancing the financial attractiveness to sponsors to improve football infrastructure for national teams and for clubs, amongst others.
In this regard, NFA President, Robert Shimooshili, on behalf of the Namibia Football Association extended a congratulatory message to Hei for ascending to such a strategic body under the vanguard of the Confederation of African Football [CAF]. “The trajectory of Namibian Football shows an upward trend and Hei’s election to the ACA is testimony to this fact,” Shimooshili confirmed.
Salomo Hei said that the ACA is a significant entity for clubs in Africa and “we are going to represent the region through COSAFA alongside Namibian, South African and Tanzanian clubs such as African Stars, Kaizer Chiefs and Young African, respectively, to serve as a voice for clubs on the continent and Namibia in particular”, Hei said.
The chairperson of the ACA Board, Young Africans FC chairman, Hersi Ally is deputized by Jessica Motaung of South African PSL outfit Kaizer Chiefs as the Association’s 1st Vice Chair, while the former forms part of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football.
