Three Namibia Football Association officials are part of a group of football leaders from 28 African countries attending the CAF Football Management Executive Programme for CAF Member Associations General Secretaries.

The NFA is represented by General Secretary Charles Siyauya, Director of Operations Cyril Isaacs and League Administrator Lorraine Gowases.

The capacity building was launched on Monday night by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe, together with the University of Cape Town (UCT) Leadership.

Dr. Motsepe emphasized the importance of education in fostering a culture of excellence among football administrators.

The launch marks the first phase of the program’s rollout, which will also be extended to the French-speaking part of Africa in the near future.

The CAF Football Management Executive Programme is one of the flagship education programs initiated by CAF in partnership with leading universities to train and upskill African football administrators, including CAF Member Associations General Secretaries.

The program includes a mix of online and on-site modules that will be held at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. The key objectives of the program include:

  • Enhancing the skills and expertise of African football stakeholders. 
  • Building the capacity of role-players within CAFโ€™s 54 member associations. 
  • Driving innovation and encouraging football executives to expand their strategic acumen and strengthen their leadership capabilities. 
  • Contributing to the advancement and sustainability of African football.
