It is with deep sadness that the Namibia Football Association confirms the passing on of its General Secretary, the late Charles Sikabonga Siyauya, who passed away on Monday, 3rd March 2025 in a local hospital.


The late General Secretary began his tenure with the NFA on Ist April 2024, He was tasked, alongside the Executive Council, with the monumental responsibility of ensuring the growth and development of Namibian football.


From the time of his appointment until his untimely passing, the late Charles Sikabonga Siyauya played a pivotal role in discharging the roll-out of the strategic initiatives of the Executive Council set for the NFA with day-to-day administrative and operational support and assistance rendered by his management team and staff.


The late Siyauya, was born on 10th March 1975 in Schuckmannsburg in Kabbe, North Constituency in the Zambezi region, he would have marked his golden jubilee on 10th March 2025. “His commitment and passion to support the Executive Council strategic plan increase the positive trajectory of Namibian football will be sorely missed.


The late Charles Sikabonga Siyauya leaves behind his mother, Ms. Chaze Musialike, affectionately known as Bana Ndozi, one son, three daughters, brothers, sisters, relatives, colleagues at the Football House and football-lovers in Namibia, as well as at COSAFA, CAF and FIFA. Meanwhile, Mr Cassius Moetie has been appointed to serve as interim General Secretary.
