Jacobs has set his sights on getting Brave Gladiators across the first hurdle when his charges play their first two matches of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifying campaign this month.

The Namibia senior women’s national team will face Eswatini away at the Somhlolo National stadium at 13:00 on 21 February with the return scheduled for 26 February at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg at 15:00.

Jacobs named his final 21-player squad for the two games on Monday,17 February 2025.

“We intend to go all out in this round, the team is well prepared and in high spirits, the players are above bar in terms of fitness levels because they have been playing in the FNB Women Super League. No major injuries have been reported but the team will have to do without Zenatha Coleman, Vewe Kotjipati and Twelikondjela Amukuto but the technical team and I are confident in the capabilities of the remaining players especially the more senior players and the experience they will bring come match day” said Jacobs
