The Brave Gladiators assistant coach, Mervin Mbakera announced a squad of twenty (20) players who assembled for camp last week Monday, ahead of the Gladiators international friendly match against Botswana on 9 April 2024 in Gaborone at a venue still to be decided.
“Most of the players were selected based on their performances during the FNB Women Super League fixtures, we kept most of the senior players because they do not get to play a lot of games this year and this will help with international exposure. There is an addition of Mbakondja Kahiriri, Anna Somses and Leena Alweendo from the u20 National team, this will give them the necessary confidence boost Mbakera said.
Mbakera and former Gladiators captain, Uerikondjera Kasaona will assist Head Coach, Nicolas Woody Jacobs while Dankie Hepundjua will serve as the Goalkeeper Coach.
