8 July 2025 – An Administration & Management Course organized by the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) is currently underway at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) headquarters in Windhoek. A total of 30 football administrators from NFA’s member associations and secretariat staff are attending the course which started on Saturday 5 July.

The five-day course which is being led by former FIFA Development Officer Ashford Mamelodi will take attendees through best practices on how to effectively stage events to global standards.

NFA Interim General Secretary, Cassius Moetie applauded COSAFA for the initiative and thanked Ashford Mamelodi for availing his time and expertise.

“This COSAFA Administration & Management Course for NFA Staff, including our regional coordinators, is long overdue, there was a need for training the personnel who are involved in the day to day running of football in the country.

The course is being presented by a seasoned and FIFA, CAF accredited instructor, Ashford Mamelodi was brutally honest in terms of football development, administratively and from managing football from grassroot, academies, 3rd, 2nd & Nationwide First Divisions up to the top tier leagues and national teams. Ntate Mamelodi is an absolute fine product of African football development and I am inclined to believe that Southern Africa does not exploit his expertise and exposure enough to improve governance, administration and the operations at Member  Association level” he said

COSAFA conducted courses for Referees, the NFA Executive Council were also treated to a COSAFA Strategic Leadership Workshop while local U15 teams benefited from the Fast Footie Program as part of the U20 COSAFA Championship Tournament hosting legacy.
