Namibia Football Association concludes Administration and Event Management Courses for First Divisions

The Namibia Football Association (NFA), through its Technical Department, successfully hosted three Administration and Event Management Courses for the country’s First Division streams as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen football structures and improve professionalism within the game.

The first course was held in Rundu, where 35 participants took part in intensive training focused on football administration, event coordination, match organisation, and operational management.

The second course was hosted in Oshakati for the North West First Division stream, attracting administrators, club representatives, and football stakeholders from across the region.

The programme concluded with the Southern Stream First Division course, successfully completing all three training workshops aimed at equipping football leaders with the necessary skills to effectively manage clubs, competitions, and football events.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, the NFA General Secretary, Mabos Vries said the courses are part of the association’s commitment to building strong football governance structures at regional level.

“Football development is not only about what happens on the pitch, but also about strong administration and proper event management behind the scenes. These courses are important in ensuring that our first division structures operate professionally and efficiently,” he said.

He further highlighted that improving administrative capacity will contribute to better organised leagues, improved communication among stakeholders, and enhanced match-day operations across the country.

The participants were trained on key areas including competition management, event planning, communication protocols, leadership responsibilities, and basic football administration principles.

The NFA believes the programme will help create a more professional football environment while empowering administrators to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of football in Namibia.

The association also expressed appreciation to all participants and regional football leadership for their commitment and support throughout the three courses.
