10 October 2025 – The Brave Warriors suffered a 3-1 defeat when they played Liberia earlier today at the Samuel Kenyon Doe Stadium in Liberia. Ayouba Kosiah opened the scoring line for the Lone Stars through a penalty shot while Sulahmana Mamadu doubled the lead and Edward Ledlum came from the bench to seal the deal for the host. David “ Haaland”Ndeuyenma scored the goal for Namibia.
Speaking at the post match presser, head coach Collin Benjamin applauded Liberia for a well deserved win.
“Firstly, I would like to congratulate Liberia for the three points, good game from them. They scored as early as the minute, I think we were not too aggressive in the one against one on the wing. After the second goal the whole game plan then fell apart. But I think after that, our team had most of the ball, and created a few chances. It was just unlucky that we couldn’t score. And then obviously trying to get that second goal, we had to open up and that’s where Iberia then scored that third goal. It was a good goal.
We have to go to Tunisia now, we have to play Tunisia. I think it’s another chance for our team to grow, my team to grow, and for my youngsters to get international experience and the national experience is very important for them and their growth and development. And at the moment, we’re going to sit down, we’re going to analyze what we did wrong, what we can improve and then on Monday we take on Tunisia” said Benjamin
Namibia will depart to Tunisia tomorrow morning,11 October and play their final qualification match against Tunisia on 13 October in Rades at the Stade Hammadi Agrebi, kick off is scheduled for 14:00
