07 June 2025 – Twenty- two games played, 17 wins, 4 draws, 69 goals scored, – that’s the story of Beauties FC who were crowned champions of the FNB Women Super League on Saturday, 7 June at the NFA Technical Centre. The Okahandja outfits defeated visitors, African Stars Queens 1-0 with Rauna Uugula netting in the winning goal.

Beauties maintained an unbeaten run during the course of the season ending FC Ongos reign as defending champions for the past 6 years.

By winning the league, Beauties FC secures a place at the CAF Women’s Champions League – COSAFA qualifiers. Here is what Melissa Mateus, goalkeeper and team captain had to say on the win.

“It was not easy and the pressure was on us because we did not lose any match and we wanted to maintain that record. The coaching staff had a plan at the start of the season and we had to follow through and keep the same momentum we started the league with”

“I’m very proud of all the players, they showed character and commitment in all 21 matches we played and that paid off in the results on the pitch” she said

Last season’s champions, FC Ongos, put up a strong fight, finishing second with 54 points, taking home silver medals and N$150,000. African Stars Queens secured third place with 48 points, earning bronze medals and N$100,000.

FC Ongos’s midfield maestro, Memory Ngonda, scooped both the Player of the Season and Top Goalscorer awards with an incredible 39 goals, including 4 hat-tricks.

The awards function at the NFA Technical Centre was graced by the presence of Hon. Dino Ballotti, Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture; Nangula Kauluma, FNB CEO (Retail); and Cassius Moetie, NFA Interim General Secretary.
