Coach Bobby Samaria starts Salomon Omseb and Alfeus Handura in the only changes to the team line-up to face Malawi in the Group B penultimate encounter on Tuesday afternoon at the Isaacs Wolfson Stadium in Gqerbeha.
Handura was a stater in the 2-1 win over Senegal in the first match but dropped to the bench for the second win, 2-0 over Zimbabwe on Sunday. He joined that match in the second half with the score goalless and today wins a place to start yet again.
Salomon Omseb gets the nod to start upfront with lethal striker Elmo Kambindu. Omseb inclusion means Marcel Papama drops to the bench for today’s clash for the first time at this competition.
Namibia must win the match to secure a place in the semifinals of the 2021 Cosafa Cup with match to spare. The final match of the group will be on Wednesday against Mozambique, 12h00.
The final matches at the Isaac Wolsens stadium will not be broadcast live but the NFA Facebook page will keep you posted.
Only the top two sides from the group will advance to the semifinals of the 2021 Cosafa Cup.
Here’s the starting lineup against Malawi: Loydt Kazapua, Charles Hambira, Ananias Gebhardt, Aprocious Petrus, Ivan Kamberipa, Wesley Katjiteo, Alfeus Handura, Absalom Iimbondi, Willy Stephanus, Salomon Omseb and Elmo Kambindu.
