Samaria to ring changes with semifinals in sight

Coach Bobby Samaria will consider making changes to the match-day teams in the final two games of Group B at the 2021 Cosafa Cup underway in Gqerbeha.

The Tafel Lager Brave Warriors won back to back matches scoring four and conceding once and will rest Monday before facing Malawi on Tuesday July and then Mozambique on 14 July.

Cosafa says teams can introduce three more players to the initial 20 and coach Bobby Samaria will take the chance.

” We will surely make changes to the team. The boys have played two tough games and we got the results and we now have to thread carefully to ensure top spot in this group. We will affect this chance for more players and come team selection make necessary changes accordingly” states Samaria.

He adds that the Cosafa Cup has and will always remain the breeding window for regional players.

” Age doesn’t play football and if you good enough for the national team you take the chance and the boys came here to fight and we got two wins so far which is good and we move on”.

Samaria is however not getting carried away. ” We are not home and dry yet but surely after the third game and if we win then we can give a run to others as well”.

Only the top two sides from the group will advance to the semifinals of the 2021 Cosafa Cup.
