The Brave Warriors will use the clash against Zambia on 9 November to prepare for the 2020 CAF African Nations Championship finals next year.
Interim Brave Warriors coach Bobby Samaria has called up 24 players to prepare for the international friendly match on Saturday 9 November in the Dr Hage Geingob Cup.
The encouter to be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium will be more than a friendly, Samaria states.
” First of all we are playing for the President and we have to do it with a win. Both countries have qualified for CHAN finals and will try to find combinations and see how best we go to Cameroon to do our best”, Samaria explains.
He adds that the players called up have earned their strides to be here and still have the hunger to succeed.
” I’m so proud of this boys , they have come a long way during tough times in our football. They remain focused on what they love doing and they representing the nation with so much pride”, states Samaria.
The 24 players called up have to report at Palm Hotel in Windhoek on Sunday 3 November ahead of training that starts on Monday morning.
Goalkeepers: Edward Maova, Ratanda Mbazuvara, Calvin Spiegel and Charles Uirab;
Defenders: Vitapi Ngaruka, Emilio Martin, lvan Kamberipa, Pat-Nevin Uanivi, Aprocius Petrus, Gregory Auchumeb, Larry Haraeb and Tjiuana Tja Tjatindi;
Midfielders: Dynamo Fredericks, Immanuel Heita, Wendell Rudath, Obrey Amseb, Gustav lsaack, Llewelyn Stanley and Absalom limbondi;
Strikers: Hendrick Somaeb, Elmo Kambindu, Panduleni Nekundi, Isaskar Gurirab and Mapenzi Muwanei.
