Benson Shilongo is looking forward to leading the line at the AFCON Finals and states that the Cairo stadiums are perfect for the style of the Brave Warriors.
Shilongo has been part of the team in recent times and have helped the team get to Egypt 2029 AFCON finals. He plays for local side Ismaily in the premier league.
The striker who hail from Ongwediva in Namibia thinks he will be able to help the team.
” I’ve been working hard and so has rest of the team. I’m a striker and will have to deliver indeed. We need goals to win and collectively we are set and ready to go”, the Ismaily- based striker says.
Shilongo 27, adds that the pitches are perfect in Cairo and will suit the team better.
” We are a ball playing team and the playing surfaces here are superb. It will also help us to run into channels and play to foot which is our strength and it makes the running also very smooth. We will have to be focused and do our thing right because we facing some of the biggest sides in our group”.
The Brave Warriors will play Morocco on Sunday 16h30, before taking on South Africa on June 28, both at Al Salam Stadium. They will play their final group game against Ivory Coast on 1 July at Cairo International Stadium.
