Kharas Region edged Omaheke Region 4-3 on penalties to reach the final of the 2019 The Namibian Newspaper Cup underway at the Mariental Stadium on Easter Sunday.
The two teams could not be separated in 70 minutes of regulation time in which various chances were wasted by both sides in front of a packed and enthusiastic crowd.
Kharas, much fresher than Omaheke, who played a crucial game against Hardap last night, had the upper hand from the start but the final product was poor.

In the penalties shoot-out, Betuel Museum saw his spot kick saved by Fritz Narib before Franklin Witbooi gave Kharas the lead.
Simon Elango scored for Omaheke with Romario Kambindu saved for Kharas and then Mentholius Taseb missed for Omaheke. Heinrich Plaatjies scored for Kharas and so did Tuvatera Tjijenda for Omaheke.
Cuterio Colman missed and then Ririkeho Tjongarero scored for Omaheke and so did Llewelyn Both for Kharas to force the shoot out into sudden death.
Ueriuka Tjahere was saved and then Johannes Rooi scored the winner, 4-3 , to ignite wild celebrations for the myriad of their fans and sympathizers.
Kharas midfielder Simeon Namondi won the Man fo the Match award.
Kharas will feature in the 13h00 final on Easter Monday and will wit for either Otjozondjupa or Khomas who contest the second semifinal.
Semifinals losers will contest for third place at 11h00 on Easter Monday as well.
