Brave Warriors respects 2018 Dr. Geingob Cup

The Brave Warriors aims to keep the 2018 Dr. Hage Geingob Cup at home when they engage the local-based Black Stars of Ghana on Saturday, 16h00 at the Sam Nujoma stadium following their good run of form.

Brave Warriors coach Ricardo emphasized the importance and respect for the Dr. Hage Geingob Cup by announcing a strong 22-men squad that includes two three foreign based players in Goalkeper Loydt Kazapua of Maccabi FC in South Africa, Willy Stephanus of AC Kanjaani of Finland and Benyamin Nenkavu who this week signed for Zambian club Buildcon FC.

“I have kept some players that played a role in our AFCON qualifiers and its al about the value of the cup and the opponent we facing on Saturday. It is not a normal friendly match. It’s the President’s Cup and we need to respect that”, Mannetti explains.

He adds that the aim to kept the cup at home. “It’s not time to experiment and we have to ensure we win this cup again for the President and hence a very good strong squad I have and we need to indeed have a good showing on Saturday,” states Mannetti.

The 2018 Dr. Hage Geingob Cup takes centre stage with festivities starting at 10h00 all the way into the early Saturday into the late afternoon as Ghana comes to town to face the Brave Warriors in honor of Namibia’s first citizen.

The first 5000 supporters will receive various souvenirs such as caps, t-shirts and other hampers courtesy of the event organizers and sponsors, MTC, Namibia Breweries, Huawei, NWR and Air Namibia. Tickets bought beforehand are N$30 each from Web-tickets Namibia at all Pick n Pay’s countrywide and Football House in Katutura.

Top local musicians will entertain the crowd before the match as well as during half time and after the match – ARTIST such as Gazza, Exit, Female Donkey, One Blood, Kalux, Tate Buti and The Dogg will be on the MIC and the first match of the day to start at 13h00 as the Young Gladiators face their seniors , U23s before main match kicks off at 16h00.
