Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti on Tuesday announced 22 players that will represent the country at the 2017 COSAFA Castle Cup which they enter at the quarterfinals stage.

The football tournament which kicked off on the 24 June and is expected to end on the 09 of July, will see Namibia facing Lesotho for a place in the semi-finals.

“The Lesotho match will determine the road ahead and eventually determine how the team will come together in terms of combination play and harmony” Mannetti said.

He further revealed that they will have to dig deep and look past their football problems, with players most importantly being required to play above themselves, in order to lift the cup.

Mannetti said he hopes and believes they will emerge victorious and added that he was quite impressed with the general fitness of his team during the match in Guinea Bissau, even though he admits that they lacked combination play, among a few things.

Few of the Brave Warriors such as Peter Shalulile who has a chronic ankle injury and Batista with a knee injury, as well as Hendrik Somaeb with administrative issues are a great concern at the moment, however Mannetti sees them as minor and remains positive.

The team departs on Wednesday to Rustenburg.
