Debmarine Cup action heats up

The race for the 25 November final of the Debmarine Namibia Cup is shaping up and more goals are expected to rain in as the 2016 Debmarine Namibia Cup elimination round competition continues this weekend at Gobabis, Katima Mulilo, Rosh Pinah, Tsumeb, Ohangwena, Oshakati and Swakopmund.

At the Legare stadium in Gobabis, The Omaheke regional playoffs will start at 11hoo on Saturday as Tough Guys takes on Kom Haal Hulle, followed by Epako Pirates versus Desert Rollers and Kanaan United against Nossob FC.

In the quarterfinals, Tura Cosmos will face Omaheke NAMPOL at 17h00 and 126 Eagles will take on Eastern Chiefs. On Sunday action will start at 07h00 as Mathata takes on winner of Guys vs Hulle and the final match will be played at 17h00.

The Zambezi regional playoff will continue at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex as King Fischer takes on Bucks Bucks at 07h00 on Saturday morning followed by the second semifinal between Katima Wanderers against Namib Chiefs. The 12 Zambezi clubs have thus far scored 30 goals in nine matches played. The final will be at 16h00.

Oshikoto will host their Debmarine Namibia Cup elimination round matches at the Nehale Sports Stadium at 07h00 as Mayfield United takes on Omuntele Warriors; Newcastle United vs Omandengu; Safile United vs Nine 11 FC; Ghetto United vs Oshikoto NAMPOL; Volcano against Onathinge and Mama Love vs. Ondangwa United in the first round. The final will be played on Sunday at 15h00.

Vineta Stadium in Swakopmund will play host to the Erongo leg of the Debmarine Namibia Cup this weekend from 08h00 on Saturday as Walvis Bay Barcelona takes on Tuta Super Eagles; Young Eleven takes on Sorrento Bucks; Mighty Eagle vs Karibib FC; Swakopmund FC vs Blue Birds; Zula Molest vs Gendev and Celtic against Navy FC. On Sunday action will resume at 08h00 and the final will be contested at 18h00.

Ohangwena region’s Debmarine Namibia Cup matches will be played at the Ohangwena Stadium and on Saturday at 07h00 Namundjembo FC will face Hamutumbangela Stars, followed by Omafo United vs Major Power; Mwadinomho United vs Mkwamalanga; Eeshoke Chula Chula vs XI Bullets. Further Fighters will play Young Tops in quarterfinal one and Hope Academy takes on Ohangwena NAMPOL. The semifinals will start at 07h00 on Sunday with the final set for 16h00 at the same venue.

The Mweshipandeka Secondary School Stadium is the venue for Oshana region’s Debmarine Namibia Cup this weekend and on Saturday at 08h00 Pescanova and Khuse will battle it out followed by Poison Arrows vs African United; Onelago United vs Oshakati City; Vietnam Rangers vs Young Braves. Golden Bigs, Brave Lions, Oshakati United and Foxy Seniors awaits winner from the first matches as they got byes into the quarterfinals. The final is set for Oshakati’ s Independence Stadium on Sunday at 21h00.
