The NFA Girls Centre, in Katutura, recently joined the rest of the world in paying homage and commemorating its first Word AIDS Day tribute that saw massive attendance from the members of the local community.

The event which was hosted on 2 December 2016 at the Centre, had the Namibia Planned Parenthood Association (NAPPA), offering information sessions on HIV as well as HIV counselling and testing services which was accessed by 61 people. The under 20 women's national team distributed condoms to community members and encouraged them to get tested.

The Centre Manager , Jackie Gertze stated that “the event was a huge success with quite a number of people turning up to get tested and support the U/20 women National team who left for Angola to represent the country at the Regional Games”.

Local artist S-man performed his new single “J66” which encourages Namibians to refrain from unhealthy sexual behaviour. Award winning artist Kalux followed performing with his most loved hit “Ayekoo”.
