Referees Refresher Course

The NFA National Referees committee will be hosting a refresher course for 1st & 2nd division referees this week in Windhoek.

Venue: Shalom Centre, Goreangab Dam, Mashishi Street, Windhoek.

Oshakati Grassroots festival next week

FIFA Technical Study Group (TSG) senior official, Jean-Marie Conz will be the chief instructor at the Oshakati Coaching Seminar for Grassroots Football festival next week.

The 51-year-old Swiss, will be joined by NFA technical Director Klaus Staerk and other selected officials to conduct a five-day coaching seminar for about 45 coaches from the Oshana, Ohangwena and Omusati regions.

Momentum is building up for the second leg of the FIFA Grassroots Course and festival at Oshakati, starting next week.

According to the organizers of the festival that brought more than 800 kids together in Windhoek in April, preparations for another record participation are on course.

The program at Oshakati will run from 08 to 13 November with a football seminar for coaches’ ad administrators, culminating in football festival for kids on the final day.


Referees Urged to Work Hard

NFA Executive Member Dawid Goagoseb have called on participants at the Referee Refresher Course underway at Soccer house to learn as much as they can.

Speaking at the ongoing of the course on Monday at soccer house Goagoseb who is also chairperson of the Khomas football region called on the 27 participants to fully participate in all activities expected of them during the week-long course as that will ensure that the game of football becomes better.

Referees in Refresher Course

NB: Please be informed that the the Referees Refresher course that was scheduled for the football for Hope Center in Katutura will now take place at Soccer House.

The NFA National Referees Committee will be hosting a week-long FIFA/CAF Elite Referees Refresher Course in Windhoek, starting Monday, to be facilitated by amongst others former South Africa referee legend Ian McLeod.


World Cup Seminar Necessary

The Namibia delegates at the 2010 Fifa World Cup symposium held last week in Cairo hails it as necessary and a great success.

According to the Technical Director of the Namibia Football Association Klaus Staerk, the symposium held on October 13-15 was “very interesting “as it brought together various football specialists who shared ideas with the rest of the fifty-three member association of CAF.

NFA Congress in October

The Namibia Football Association will hold their elective Congress in October, following decisions taken at the NFA Executive Committee meeting that took place on the side of the Football Administration and Management seminar held over the weekend.
The Course held at the Midgard Country Estate introduced participants to the latest development programmes of the Association and how to deal with Finances and also covered issues of marketing, events management and competitions.
