FIFA has extended the term of the Normalisation Committee they appointed for the Namibia Football Association until 15 March 2020.
FIFA wrote to the chairperson of the Normalisation Committee Hilda Basson-Namundjebo on 15 October , informing her of it’s Bureau of Council decision taken on 14 October to extend the NC mandate, which will include overseeing Elective Congress of the Namibia Football Association by at least February 2020.
By 15 May 2019, the NC was tasked by the FIFA Bureau of Council to asisst NFA members with abiding by their statutory obligations . A few members, are still to be assisted by the NC in this regard.
On 14 October, FIFA’s Bureau of Council decide to extend the mandate of the NC to 15 March 2020 to ensure that they continue with assisting the members with their good standings with the mother body before election can take place.
The NC decisions, FIFA states, will be final and binding as far as the elections of the new NFA executive committee are concerned.
